About Outlap

Outlap was started by Jackson and Matt with a simple realization: motorsport has never been more exciting, yet most fans are only seeing a small piece of it.

 

While series like Formula 1 have introduced millions of new fans to racing, there’s an entire world beyond F1 filled with incredible competition, personalities, and stories that often go overlooked. Series like IMSA and IndyCar deliver just as much drama, intensity, and spectacle—but they aren’t always presented in a way that’s easy to discover or understand.

 

That gap is where Outlap was born.

 

Why We Exist

We saw a need for motorsports content that doesn’t talk at fans or assume years of prior knowledge, while still respecting the intelligence and passion of longtime enthusiasts. Too much coverage is either surface-level highlights or overly technical analysis with no middle ground.

 

Outlap exists to bridge that gap.

 

Our goal is to make motorsport more accessible without watering it down, breaking down the storylines, rivalries, and moments that make racing special, while preserving the depth that makes fans fall in love with the sport in the first place.
